How Taken
This drug can come either as a liquid or as a tablet. Both of course can only be taken orally. The usual dosage for this drug is once and a day and it can be ingested even before meals. Missed Dose
Immediately make up for the missed dose as soon as possible. But do not attempt to make immediate successive intakes of this drug just so you can make up for the missed dosage. Consult first your doctor before making any steps.
Possible Side Effects
It is of utmost importance to seek the help of your doctor as soon as you feel any symptoms of the following side effects while taking Lexapro:
-allergic reactions, possible swellings, apnea
-palpitations or irregular heart rhythms
-hypotension
-hypertension (headaches, blurry eyesight)
-chills, high fever, seizures and headaches among others
Other possible side effects might occur so immediately consult your doctor once you feel any to prevent possible complications.
Storage
Do not expose or store Lexapro in environments that have too much moisture or heat.
Overdose
Palpitations, nausea, vomiting and excessive sweating among others are possible symptoms of Lexapro overdose. Rush the patient to the hospital immediately.
